1. What we use
Crown & Quill Play uses local storage — a browser feature that lets websites store small amounts of data on your device. Technically, local storage is different from cookies, but we treat it with the same care and respect for your choices.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.
2. Why we use it
We use local storage for four specific purposes:
- Age verification: To remember that you've confirmed you're 18 or older, so you don't see the age modal on every visit.
- Cookie consent: To remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner.
- Game progress: To save your virtual coin balance and game statistics (wins, losses, best payouts) between visits.
- Roulette history: To remember your recent spin results so they display on the roulette page.
All of this data is functional — it makes the Platform work for you. None of it is used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
3. What we store
The specific data stored is:
- A boolean flag indicating age verification.
- A value indicating your cookie consent choice ("accepted" or "rejected").
- An integer representing your coin balance.
- An object containing per-game statistics (plays, wins, best win amount).
- An array of recent roulette results (number and color).
No personal identifiers, no IP addresses, no browsing history. Just game state.
4. Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or decline this usage. Your choice is saved and you won't see the banner again (unless you clear your local storage).
If you decline, the banner disappears but local storage will still be used for essential functionality (age verification and game progress). This is because the Platform cannot function without remembering your state between page loads.
5. How to clear your data
You can remove all Crown & Quill Play data from your device at any time:
- Browser settings: Clear site data for crownandquillplay.com in your browser's privacy settings.
- Clear all data: Clearing your browser's cache and site data will reset everything — coins, stats, age verification, and consent.
After clearing, you'll see the age verification and cookie banner again on your next visit.
6. Third-party fonts
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may set cookies or collect data as part of this request, governed by Google's own privacy policy. We use the standard Google Fonts CSS API, which is widely used across the web. If you prefer not to load external fonts, use a content blocker; the Platform will fall back to system fonts.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Platform evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. If we make material changes, we'll note them on this page.
